1.  When you hit "reply all" and the message has been sent to the listserv, everyone gets a copy of your message.
2.  Get in the habit of hitting "reply" when answering messages, unless you do want it to go to everyone, which is very rare.

Things that might make it so you can't see your students in LanSchool Air:

• Student has removed their school Chromebook from the GSDX network, and is using GSDGuest or a personal hotspot.
• Device is not up to date, or deeds to be powerwashed.
• Student is using a personal device.
• I have, also, noticed that if I go into it before the kids get logged in it can take a hot minute for them to finally connect.

Things to fix it:

• Make sure they are on the correct wifi, GSDX
• Check that the device is updated.  If needed powerwash.
• Require students to use school issued devices.
• Get all students logged into their Chromebook and then open LanSchool

When you put in work tickets, please make sure that you are filling out all the sections you are asked to.  I don't always get assigned every ticket and when things aren't filled out completely it takes extra time and effort to resolve your issue because we must hunt down more information.

•      Be specific as to what programs you are having the issue in.  (I get a lot of "my kids can't get in".  Get in to what?)
• If it is affecting specific sections or kids please give that information as well.
• Emails are great to give me heads up but please don't be frustrated when I tell you that I will need a ticket on what you need.  As mentioned, I don't get everything and sometimes the answer might come faster through the ticket then the email that hopefully, I will get to by the end of the day.

Tips for Crafting the Perfect Professional Email:

• Optimize subject line.
• Use charismatic word cues to prompt people’s responses.
• Personalize emails when possible.  (Send directly to the person rather than the whole group.)
• Have a clear structure.
• Stick to the point.
• Start new chains when necessary.
• Check your emotions (and your emojis 😊)
• Include a professional signature (Directions here).
• Maximize efficiency with templates.
• Be aware of cultural differences.
• Make sure mobile-friendly.
• Understand when emails should be a meeting, and vice versa.
• No guilt into responding
• Have effective email management.  (If your inbox is full of unread messages from weeks, or months, maybe even years back; delete them.  Start fresh.  I promise you will feel better.)
